This online museum will give a
HISTORICAL VALUE TO YOUR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT!

The idea is to represent not only Piedmont, but also the other regions of Europe. If you have one or more musical instruments and would like them to become part of the online virtual museum, then you are welcome among the supporters of the museum!

It does not matter if the musical instrument is no longer in perfect condition. We also accept artifacts that are no longer functional, broken or with missing parts. The greater the historical, musical or artistic interest, the greater the need to consider even partial finds.

The musical instrument remains yours and you must not give up any right, neither present nor future. You just have to send photos and videos, plus the technical and historical data of your musical instrument. The presence of the musical instrument (as well as the name of the owner) in the on-line Museum should be understood as an honor and is absolutely free from contractual obligations.

The Museum provides a parchment for each musical instrument that we suggest to keep together with the musical instrument itself. This parchment formally certifies the name of the registrant and the inclusion of the musical instrument in the online virtual museum.

The most appropriate musical instruments are those described in the " Historical Cultural Context " of the menu. However, we evaluate the inclusion in the on-line Virtual Museum of musical instruments, even if not ancient, and from various geographical areas. This is especially the case if the musical instruments are handcrafted, or, for some reason, are of particular interest. We ask for your name to be able to indicate it (if you authorize us) in the List of Supporters , but we do not want to register or know the place of conservation of the instruments.

Musical instruments of interest that were already in museums can still be registered at our on-line museum. This is subject to the authorization of the managers of the museums that keep them.

Our Museum could in the near future have its own "physical" location. If we succeed in this undertaking, then we will warn our supporters, private collectors, who would like to sell their musical instrument in some way in the future, or possibly leave it as an inheritance to the Museum itself.
